The girls of 32-fiddy + 3 little shrimps
This weekend I was lucky enough to have visits from two good friends - 75% of the girls of 32-fiddy were in attendance (we missed you Sevda). Megan (Johnson) Haapanen came Friday night from Chicago. On Saturday morning, we were joined by Meghan (McInerny) Wilker and little Trixie.
Here's Megan with a lovely scarf she knitted herself:

Here's Meghan with a lovely baby she made herself:

Martin was very interested in laying down next to Trixie on his own blanket. We placed all three kids in a row for a group shot. Smiles lasted for about 2.5 seconds, and this was the last photo to be taken, approximately 5 seconds after we got them all lined up.

It was so good to see the girls, it made me lonesome for the old days when we all lived together or at least next door to each other. Like Meghan said, who would have ever thought we'd get here after all the losers we dated around the time we were all roommates (apologies to anyone we may have dated who might read this, it's more of a general term - certainly it doesn't mean YOU).
On the table last night: Pork chops with herb stuffing, roasted baby spring vegetables (both very tasty)
On the table tonight: Mediterranean roast turkey and mashed potatoes
P.S. It's practically a blizzard here. I'll add pics later after it's light outside.

Jennie,
I had such a good time seeing you this weekend. I'm definately happy of all of our successes that we've accomplished since 32-fiddy and I definately don't want to live in that shit hole again (since things like the ceiling caving into the bathtub overnight, happened on a regular basis), but I sure do miss those days as well and wish we all lived closer to each other! What better ways can you think of to spend an afternoon than sitting out on the stoup smoking cigs and drinking boxed wine! But we have moved on to bigger and better things...I loved meeting your children they are amazing, which of course is a reflection of their wonderful parents! Take care of yourself and your family. Love you,
Meggie

I feel like I should point out that I did have a little help making that baby.
