Chip off the old Fooseblock

Yesterday Marty and his dad attended a fundraiser in Sioux Falls, SD where new custom Ford Mustangs, named "Stallions" were delivered.

These cars were customized and designed by Chip Foose, who apparently is very well known in the custom street rod industry.  Not familiar to you, you say?  Well, do you remember the car Elanor in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds

He was the car's designer, so if you remember it, then you're now as much of an expert on Chip Foose's work as I am.

Also on display was a plane that was designed by Foose and owned by a friend of Marty's dad.

I asked Marty how it felt to take the day off of work, fly out in a private plane to see the unveiling of some very cool cars.  "Pretty good," he said.  That's why I love him, his unbridled enthusiasm.

If you are a car aficionado, and would like more information on the car and it's designer, check out MartysCars.com.  I've written an article there that includes links to Foose Design's website as well.  While you're at it, check out some of the cars in Marty's Inventory.  You never know what you just might need.

Is anyone wondering what has happened to me that for TWO DAYS IN A ROW I've talked about cars?  I know, I've been feeling the same way myself.
