Tom and Jerry make a haul
After painstaking hours and half a bottle of glue, Martin and Sophie were miraculously transformed into Tom & Jerry. Well, sort of a sporty version of Tom & Jerry.
The kids loved their costumes and once dressed were ready to hit the streets.
My mother-in-law and I took the kids out into the neighborhood despite temperatures in the 20's. Actually, it didn't feel as cold as I thought it would. At least it wasn't super windy like it was last night.
Martin LOVED walking around at night, going up to houses that we don't normally visit, ringing doorbells, and begging for candy.
Once we returned to our house, he assigned himself the task of handing out candy. Until people actually came to the door when he ducked behind my leg and waited for the people to go away. As the night went on, he became more comfortable and started chatting it up with the kids at the door. A pack of 11 and 12 year old boys came to the door and told Martin he was a cute mouse. He said "I'm not a mouse, I'm a cat. I'm Tom. And that's Jerry. We're Tom & Jerry." One of the boys said, "Well that's cool, that's a good idea." Martin answered, "Yeah, I'm cool. AND I'm Tom."

Excellent job on the costumes! Yes, Martin is no doubt cool.

Very cute Tom & Jerry! Great idea - I would dress up more for Halloween if I could wear sweatsuits.
I never knew Jerry's Grandmother was a leopard!

How cute--what a great idea!
My eight-year-old would love for our whole family to dress up in coordinating costumes, so if anyone can think of a six-person theme for next year, I'm all ears!

Six people, huh... I only have two ideas: The Brady's or a six pack.
