Lost days

November seems to be flying by.  Even faster than the normal flying by.  Our nanny took two days off this week and is off all of next week so I'm home with the kids.  This comes right after being out all last week with Marty, which means that I've lost all sense of what day it is.

I keep thinking of all the things that need to be done before Thanksgiving when we're having family here for dinner.  I keep thinking that I should run to the grocery store and pick up stuff so that I can start making food for Thanksgiving, but I have yet to totally think through the menu or prepare a list.

We also decided that this is the perfect time to have our kitchen and dining room painted.  Our house is a mess, it looks like pigs live here.  Pigs that use lots of trucks and dolls and are trying to figure out how to decorate the newly painted walls.

Marty is still busy at work.  A busy that started in January that we thought would ease up by the end of the summer but looks like it will stay this way until after the new year.

We have mounds...no, towers...of laundry to be done.  And that means that our Homeland Laundry Advisory System alert has been raised to Orange:

And, if I don't get to work, I'm going to have to institute a Homeland Catalog Advisory System to monitor the status of the growing stack of catalogs I intend to go through to order our Christmas gifts.  I'm pretty sure our mail carrier is about ready to apply for workman's comp due to the loads of catalogs he drops off here each day.
