The day after

We had a great day yesterday filled with good company and loads of food.  We sat at two tables because there were just enough of us to make one table crowded.  However, the kids spent most of the time crawling underneath the table and playing the piano, so we really could have all sat together and just thrown scraps of food under the table to the kids.

Here we have table one:

Mom, Martin and Marty

And table two:

My cousin Mary, her son Alex and husband Brian

Mary, Grandma and Dad (and a full tray of sliced jelled cranberry straight from the can)

Here's proof of a good meal and a relaxing environment:

After three days of cooking, large quantities of sodium and a few glasses of wine, my feet are swollen and my fingers fat.  The kids and I are going to drink loads of water and go for a long walk today.  And, to kick off the start of the Christmas holiday season I'm going to throw away last year's Easter candy.

Girl after my heart - my way was to break a tooth on the Easter candy before I decided to throw it away, but it is probably a better move to just throw it away to start with.
