This weekend while we were in Texas, I told my mom that I thought that Sevda would be getting engaged soon.  It just seemed like there were some good engagement opportunities in the works... Sunday was Sevda's birthday, she and Blake would be going on a holiday, Christmas and Hanukkah were coming...just so many good chances for Blake to pop the question.

Then, on Friday, Marty got an urgent email from Sevda asking "How can I reach Jennie?"  He promptly fired off an email with the phone number for my parent's house in Texas.  Moments later, the phone rang.  From my newly engaged friend.  I REPEAT.  SEVDA IS ENGAGED!

Here's a photo of the happy couple that was taken a few years ago soon after they started dating.  I'll add a more updated photo when I receive one that includes THE RING.  So far, attempts at capturing the ring on her finger have been unsuccessful due to blinding radience (both from the ring and Sevda's glowing bride face).
