Tastes so good make a grown man cry
Last Friday we decided to make a special dessert. From scratch. And by "scratch" I mean purchase and assembly.

I found some pie crusts at the grocery store that were all rolled out and pre-cut and non-dairy. Martin put himself in charge of cutting the crust to fit the pie pan.

Sophie sampled the canned cherry pie filling, lapping up the sauce and spitting out the cherries (not into the pie).

They said it was the best cherry pie they'd ever had. And in the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit that its the only cherry pie they've ever had. Now I can only hope that my illusion of "home cooking" can last.
