On the table tonight: New! Improved!

For the almost-two-years that this blog has been around, I've added notes and links here and there about the food we're eating at our house.  It has been kind of a nice way for me to keep track of recipes I liked, especially when I can't remember where I got the recipe from in the first place.  But now, after the almost-two-years, I finally have to admit to myself that I cannot find a recipe when I try to look for it.  How could I?  I mean, in order to find a recipe on this blog I have to remember WHEN I made it, and if I can remember that, maybe I could just remember where it went in the first place.

So, for my own benefit, I've decided to create a new recipe blog:
On the table tonight.

The recipes are from a variety of sources including some originals from my own kitchen (or laboratory, if you prefer. pronounced la-BOR-a-tory, obviously) - and all of them dairy-free.  I'm just getting started over there, but you're welcome to join me and try out a few recipes.  If you're a person who consumes dairy (and most of you probably are), there will still be plenty there for you try.

To tempt you, I give you this - a picture of my first attempt at fancy and non-dairy cupcakes:


And boy, were they ever delicious.

I've wanted to make them but I know when I make them they never look as nice as they do in my mind. I've just got random frosting smeared on with a knife. Those are exactly how I want them to look! You may have inspired me, but I need to know what you used for the frosting.
