A few weeks ago my mom told me about a request for an article about cupcakes that was going to be written for the newspaper.  The paper requested photos and recipes, and so I sent some in with a quick little email.  Not really thinking about what I was typing, figuring that if the author was interested, she would just contact me for more info.  And then, there I was.  Totally famous.  And DORKY.


I found the link to the article while I was at work and told my friend Tammy about it, sort of giddy about how super famous I am.  She read it, then laughed all afternoon about the following brilliant quote I provided for the article:
"In the past two months I’ve made 12 dozen cupcakes, trying 10 different recipes from the cookbook."

She said, "You should have also told them that you lost four pounds the week you stopped making them."
