I didn't mean to drop off of the face of the earth there right as we reached the end of my self-imposed Blogvent Calendar, but I guess I got caught up with a few things.  Since I last posted, we celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, brought in the New Year, the washing machine died then was repaired, had an ear infection, a sinus infection, an allergic reaction (to something new, I'm thinking nutmeg), two hip dislocations which brought ambulance rides to the emergency room, another hip surgery, I made three pies (all awesome), and I think I may be losing my voice.  That's the short version, and trust me, it's probably enough detail.  Someday soon I hope to post pictures and stories, but for now, please accept this picture of my nephew Vincent.  His expression captures my mood perfectly.



Note: And by "it's so over" I only mean the countdown, not you know, EVERYTHING.
