For the past week, I swear I've hardly talked about anything other than the weather.  "Boy it's cold outside" and "I think my face just froze off" and "Holy Mary Mother of God I do not want to take the garbage out it's just that darn cold" pretty much cover every single conversation I've had this week, even if they were just with myself.  School let out early one day, started late two days, and was completely canceled another day.  We spent pretty much the whole week below zero, and I wore long underwear on several days.  JUST TO DO NORMAL STUFF.

But the worst was on Thursday morning when I had to be at the office at 6:00AM.  It was really cold, like -55F windchill cold.  I was divided, feeling both sorry for myself that I was out at 5:30AM on a day when school was canceled but also really tough for being out braving the conditions.  Sort of like a pioneer, except one with a seat heater and XM radio.  And then a guy drove by ON A BIKE and I felt really lame so I turned off the seat heater.  Just kidding, why would I do that, that would be RIDICULOUS.


This is what -29F looks like at 6:00AM.  I took a few pictures but this was the only one that wasn't blurry from me trying to take pictures while I ran/shuffled from one building to the next.


Rest assured everyone, non-weather talk is on the horizon.  I don't see a single below zero number in the forecast all week.  Although, there are some flurries on the way.  Which I will try not to talk about.
