Hundreds of channels and nothing to watch

The times when I can leisurely flip through channels to pick something to watch on TV are pretty few and far between.  Usually there's someone sitting next to me demanding to know if SPONGEBOBBY is on, or perhaps maybe some TOM AND JERRY BAKUGON SPIDERMAN ANYTHING ACTION AND ITS MY TURN.  So when I find myself with a few minutes on my own, I want to find something GOOD.  Something GROWN UP.  Something that is never featured on a NICKDISNEYCARTOON Network.

Movies I'll Watch No Matter How Far Into It Is, aka JACKPOT
These are the movies that make me stop looking for something else and I tune in, no matter where it is in the storyline.  I've seen them all many times, and can pick it up at any place.  And when I look at this list altogether, it appears that at least half the time I have a penchant for trashy-true-life-drama.
Coal Miner's Daughter
National Lampoon's Vacation
Peyton Place
Valley of The Dolls
Casino
A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story

Movies That I Only Watch On TV If I Can See It From the Beginning and If I Can Watch The Whole Thing, aka BETTER ON DVD

Other than the last one on this list, every one of these movies are my top favorites from my junior high/high school years.  I LOVE them and WON'T watch it
Pretty In Pink
Sixteen Candles
Footloose
Less Than Zero
Better Off Dead
Dirty Dancing
Anne of Green Gables (technically not a movie and I now that I think about it, I don't know if I've ever actually seen it on TV as an option)

Movies That I've Only Seen Parts Of, Lots and Lots Of Parts, Never The Whole, aka ITS FUNNY AND I LIKE IT, or I HAVE HBO
It's pretty rare that I start watching a movie that I haven't seen when it's already in progress.  In fact, I can only think of one.  And now, after a few months, I've turned to it several times.  Unfortunately, I have yet to see the entire thing.  But it hardly matters, because the storyline is easy to pick up, and no matter when I tune in, it's always funny.
Mr. Woodcock

Movies That I've Never Seen Because They Were Rated R When I Was A Kid, aka ADD IT TO MY NETFLIX QUEUE

This might be the most interesting category of movies, if for no other reason than each time I mention one to Marty and tell him that I've never seen it, he looks at me like he's no longer sure I'm the same woman he thought he married.  After he gets over the initial shock in knowing that I've never seen it, he usually describes his own experience with the movie in this way - "Jeff and I watched that THOUSANDS of times".
Animal House
About Last Night*
Road House*
Caddyshack
Vision Quest
*I actually watched these  this winter, but they have been on this list for so long, that I included then here just for old times sake.

After flipping through the channels, deciding whether or not I am wiling to stay up late to invest the time in something as long as a movie, I usually end up watching the same thing - Law & Order: Original/SVU/Criminal Intent.

Wow, Vision Quest. I am pretty sure I am the only person I know who has actually seen that movie. I don't remember what it is about, but I remember thinking Matthew Modine was one of the least attractive "movie hunks" I had ever seen. I also recall him wearing sweatpants alot in that movie. And even when sweatpants were big in the eighties - I have always despised sweatpants.
